BIO
Otto Yung is an Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream in the Department of Management at the University of Toronto Mississauga. He has successfully taught Financial Management (MGT2301) in the MMPA Program since 2018. Beyond this program, he has also taught Financial Derivatives, Financial Modelling, Fixed Income Markets, Mergers and Acquisitions, Financial and Enterprise Risk Management, Small Business Management, International Finance, Investments, Business Technology Management (formerly Business Information Systems), Coding for Business and Big Data.
He has a combined 24 years of experience in various sectors, including university education, public-private partnerships, financial services, telecommunications, contact centre services, hydro-utility, manufacturing and municipal services. Otto has led multi-million dollar programs and initiatives in corporate finance, operations, technology, databases, risk management, capital planning, mergers and acquisitions, and ERP software. He was the Controller for a start-up company, Multi-Channel Communications Inc., which in 2005 was ranked #1 as Canada's top emerging growth company by PROFIT magazine.
