The MBA in Accounting program allowed me to move from an undergrad in science/engineering to business, which was always my end goal. I completed my BSc in Civil Engineering at Queen’s University before joining UofT for my grad degree. The co-op work term provided an invaluable experience by not only supporting me financially, but also by giving me an insightful perspective on my future career and a robust foundation on what to expect.

After completing the program, I articled at EY in various areas, most notably in the corporate finance area. I then moved to roles in investment banking and institutional equity sales and research at various well-regarded Canadian and global banks. In 2010, I became a Portfolio Manager and Equity Analyst at CIBC Asset Management following a year of solar project development. CIBC Asset Management became a signatory to the Principles of Responsible Investing (PRI) and I led our team’s ESG integration efforts up until 2020. I returned to investment banking where I now advise corporate clients on matters related to sustainability (non-financial factors).

In addition to my career trajectory that led me to where I am today, I serve on the boards of Crescent School Foundation, the Responsible Investing Association, and the United Way Major Individual Giving Cabinet.
