One Year MMPA

Application Process and Timeline HeaderAdmission Requirements 

The One Year MMPA accepts 45 students per academic year. To apply to the One Year MMPA, you must fall into one of the following groups:

UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO GRADUATES:

University of toronto graduates from one of the following programs:

  • University of Toronto Mississauga’s BCom (Accounting Specialist Program)
  • Rotman School’s BCom (Accounting Specialist Program)
  • University of Toronto Scarborough’s BBA (Specialist in Management & Accounting Program)

If you are a graduate of one of these three programs, you do not need to submit course outlines for review, but you must have achieved:

  • Minimum of B+ in last year
  • Minimum of B- in each of the equivalent specified courses listed here
  • Evidence of leadership abilities

You must also have met all of the CPA Professional Entry Program (PEP) entry requirements, which are posted on the CPA Ontario website. Please pay special attention to the Strategy and Governance requirements listed. 

 

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS WITH AN ACOUNTING SPECIALIST UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE FROM A CANADIAN UNIVERSITY

  • Minimum of B+ in final year of study
     
  • Minimum of B- average for the MMPA pre-requisite courses listed here
     
  • If you have an undergraduate degree from a Canadian university other than UofT, you must meet the MMPA GMAT thresholds
  • International students without Canadian citizenship or Landed Immigrant Status must obtain a Study Permit and a Co-op Work Permit
     
  • Strong communication skills are critical for success in the MMPA. Please make every effort to enhance your English communication skills prior to joining the program

 

CANADIAN UNDERGRADUATE ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST (NON-UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO):

  • Minimum of B+ in final year of study
  • Minimum of B- average for the MMPA pre-requisite courses listed here
  • If you have an undergraduate degree from a Canadian university other than UofT, you must meet the MMPA GMAT thresholds

STUDENTS WITH ANY UNDERGERAD OR STUDENTS FROM NON-CANADIAN UNIVERSITIES:

The One Year MMPA program is not available for students who completed their undergraduate degree outside of Canada, or who did not complete an Accounting Specialist program in Canada. 

We welcome students to apply to the Two Year MMPA who graduated with any undergraduate degree.

 

Application Deadline:

October 31, 2019 - Intermittent Deadline (decision by December 20, 2019).

January 31, 2020 - Final Deadline

Program Start: September 2020
