Admissions Requirements
The One Year MMPA accepts 45 students per academic year. The following basic criteria are used in assessing applicants. Due to the competitive nature of admissions to the program, successful candidates tend to exceed the minimum requirements.
UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST GRADUATES:
- University of Toronto Mississauga’s BCom (Accounting Specialist Program)
- Rotman School’s BCom (Accounting Specialist Program)
- University of Toronto Scarborough’s BBA (Specialist in Management & Accounting Program)
If you are a graduate of one of these three programs, you do not need to submit course outlines for review, but you must have achieved:
- Minimum of B+ in the final year
- Minimum of B- in each of the equivalent specified courses listed here*
- (some exceptions apply – please inquire)
- Evidence of leadership abilities
STUDENTS WITH AN ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE FROM A CANADIAN UNIVERSITY:
- Minimum of B+ in final year of study
- Minimum of B- in each of the equivalent specified courses listed here*
- (some exceptions apply – please inquire)
- International students without Canadian citizenship or Landed Immigrant Status must obtain a Study Permit and a Co-op Work Permit
- Evidence of leadership and strong communication skills

- You must meet all of the CPA Professional Entry Program requirements as posted on the CPA Ontario website
- Pay special attention to the Strategy and Governance requirements listed
Summary of the applicant’s academic and professional work history
Two professional and/or academic reference contacts with institutional email addresses
One brief 500-word essay
All candidates will be interviewed before they are offered admission to the program. Interviews are by invitation only.
Please note, there is a non-refundable application fee of CDN$359.60.
