BIO

Barb Rockx owns and manages her own accounting practice, offering personal tax, corporation tax and bookkeeping services. She has taught Taxation I and II successfully in the MMPA Program since 1994. In addition to a continuing and steady involvement with the University of Toronto, she has lectured at University of Waterloo, York University, and Ryerson. Barb has developed course material for the former Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario (ICAO), as well as the current CPA Canada. She contributes annually to the Introduction to Federal Income Taxation in Canada textbook published by Wolters Kluwer Canada Limited.

Barb is the proud parent of three adult children, a veterinarian, an engineer and a soon to be registered nurse.  Barb proudly gives back to her local community through a significant volunteer commitment, including Board of Director roles in girls’ minor hockey and two charitable organizations, one that works with low-income families to assist with basic needs such as food and utilities and one that offers community-based treatment for adults dealing with eating disorders.
