In a remarkable display of academic prowess, two exceptional students from the Master of Management and Professional Accounting (MMPA) program, Jiahui (Crystal) Zhang and Dongjun (Apollo) Zhao, have earned coveted spots on the CPA Canada CFE National Honour Roll, placing them in the top 1% of all writers across Canada.

Dongjun (Apollo) Zhao, MMPA Class 2023
Apollo Zhao, a dynamic force within the MMPA community, entered the 24-month MMPA stream with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, majoring in accounting. His commitment to excellence was evident early on when he received the prestigious W. Barry Coutts Memorial Prize, awarded to the graduating student with the highest academic achievement. In addition to his stellar academic record, Apollo played a crucial role in enhancing the MMPA community and student experience as the Financial Representative on the student executive committee.
Apollo honed his practical skills through co-op placements at KPMG, where he excelled as a Staff Accountant. His adept handling of complex challenges positioned him as a standout professional. Upon convocation, Apollo seamlessly transitioned into a full-time position at KPMG, a testament to his exemplary performance and trust gained from one of the industry's leading firms.

Crystal's co-op experiences at Crowe Soberman in the intricate world of tax showcased her consistent excellence and dedication. Returning for a second co-op further solidified her practical skills, earning her a full-time offer to specialize in tax upon graduation from the MMPA program.
