Craig Beare, Class of 2015
I wouldn’t be where I am today without MMPA.
The topics I learned through the MMPA program have real value in the working world and have provided me with a unique lens to approach professional problems – I wouldn’t be where I am today without MMPA. I completed my B.Sc. in Environmental Economics & Policy from the University of Guelph and made the decision to enter the accounting world and obtain my CPA designation. After completing the MMPA program, I went the traditional mid-size public accounting firm route, working in Halifax and Ottawa where I was exposed to tax, audits, and IT consulting work. Also, during this time, I became the volunteer Treasurer on the Board of Directors for the East Coast Environmental Law Association and the Youth Climate Lab. After achieving my designation, I secured a position in the federal government – Innovation Science and Economic Development Canada – auditing billion-dollar R&D projects working with Canada's top engineers and financial experts in both the private and public sector.
