BIO
George earned his M.A. and PhD in Economics at the University of Toronto, and holds a full-time appointment as Associate Professor at York University. He has experience working with various governments regarding Statistical Analysis and Big Data, including the Governments of Dubai and Abu Dhabi, the Government of Bolivia, and the Government of Canada. George has also taught Executive Classes for Chinese banking employees of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), and has given lectures at conferences in China and throughout the world.
George is the York Senior Fellow Scholar at Massey College, University of Toronto. He has taught and received awards at York University and the University of Toronto, including the Dean’s Excellence Award for Research and the Rotman School of Management Teaching Excellence Award, respectively. George has discussed his work at various international conferences and to business leaders, as well as in various media sources including CNN International, Bloomberg, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC), Global Television News in Canada and the CTV Television News in Canada.
