Class 2021 Application Instructions

The MMPA application process has been revised to a digital format. Applicants who wish to apply for admission to the MMPA Program should use the School of Graduate Studies’ on-line application system.  Please click on the highlighted link, and follow the instructions on the Admissions Application to complete your application.

The MMPA Program is offered by the Institute of Management & Innovation.  You must select the Institute of Management & Innovation as the Graduate Unit first.  You will then be able to select the Master of Management & Professional Accounting as your degree program.

Applicants applying to the 27 month-stream should use the application for the Start Session summer 2019 and applicants applying to the  24 month-stream should use the application for the Start Session fall 2019.

Students that applied to the Program in previous years must complete the on-line application and upload all required electronic documents.  They must notify the MMPA Program by email if they have submitted official documents previously.  The Program will verify the documents are on file and notify the applicant that sending additional official documents is not necessary.

Please send paper copies only for items specifically requested.

Further instructions will be provided once an applicant registers their application on the on-line application system.

Documents/items that will be requested will include the following:

  • $350CDN application fee. (non-refundable)
  • Official transcript from each college or university attended.
  • Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) scores.
  • English Proficiency Test, if applicable.
  • Two professional and/or academic reference contacts from individuals chosen by the applicant.
  • Summary of the applicant’s academic and professional work history, and
  • One brief essay:
The MMPA Program seeks a diverse and unique entering class of current and future managers. How will your distinctiveness enrich the learning environment and enhance your prospects for future success?
  • Applications for advanced standing must include applicable course outlines.

Once an applicant begins their application, the applicant is able to log in and out and add documents as they become available.

Applicants for MMPA Class 2020 will be considered on an ongoing basis, as per the application deadlines.

  • International students are encouraged to complete their application as early as possible so that there is enough time to process their student visas. This can take as long as five months.
  • All applications should be received as early as possible, but not later than January 31, 2019

Applicants that have a referee without an institutional email address must contact the MMPA Program for the MMPA Reference form and explain why an institutional email address is not available.  The MMPA Reference form must be included with the referee’s letter in the sealed and signed envelope.

If I am reapplying to the MMPA Program can my application from last year be used?


No. Applicants must apply each year.

Official documents such as transcripts, GMAT and TOEFL/IELTS scores can be used again for your new application pending there has been no change to the documents.

If you are reapplying, once you have paid the application fee, please email Bianca Gaspini to advise you are reapplying and any applicable documents will be waived.


Can I apply to both the 27 and 24 month streams?


No. Only apply to one stream. If a student completes their application to the 24 month stream but is not eligible they will automatically be considered for the 27 month stream.
